mechanical calculator was first invented by Blaise Pascal a French inventor in 1642. 


How calculator works

Calculator understand only binary number. So, when you enter a number the calculators works by transfering the number into binary form. The binary number system consists of 0 and 1.  Thus, when you input numbers in the calculator, the CPU converts those numbers to binary form of 0 and 1. And When the action has completed, the answer in binary form is then converted back to the normal Decimal system.

Components of Calculator 

The calculator works by using lithium-ion battery or by solar power.


Input -- calculators contain a keyboard with buttons for digits and arithmetical operations


Processor -- Calculators also have the ability to store numbers into computer memory. Basic calculators usually store only one number at a time; more specific types are able to store many numbers represented in variables.
